The drawing toolbar has the key controls for drawing graphics. Lets familiarize ourselves with each button:
Draw - This is a menu of most of the commands that can be performed on
object. It also lets you configure the drawing environment.
Select Objects - This button will bring you into selection mode. This is used for
selecting multiple drawing objects.
Free Rotate - Most of the time, it is grayed out. When you select
a rotatable object, it will light up. After choosing it, you can drag the
corners of objects to rotate them.
AutoShapes - This button lets you choose from a library of pre-defined shapes to
draw.
Line - This tool lets you draw a line.
Arrow - This tool lets you draw a line with an arrow at the end.
Rectangle - This tool lets you draw a rectangle/square.
Oval - This tool lets you draw an oval/circle.
Text Box - This tool lets you draw a floating text box.
Insert WordArt - This button lets you draw fancy titles/text.
Insert ClipArt - This button lets you insert pre-drawn clipart.
Fill Color - This button lets you choose the color of an object's
"fill." Click on the bucket/color to fill an object with the most
recent color used. Click the arrow next to it to fill with another color.
Line Color - This button lets you choose the color of the line/lines of an
object.
Font Color - The text color tools lets you specify the color of text. (Note:
WordArt is NOT considered text)
Line Style - This tool lets you specify the thickness and style of the lines of
the object.
Dash Style - This tool let you change lines of an object to different types of
dashes.
Arrow Style - This tool lets you change the ends of your lines to different
types of arrows/shapes.
Shadow - This tool lets you add a shadow to an object.
3-D - This tool lets you add depth to an object so it looks 3-D.
